Welcome to my Practice!
My name is Jayden Honey, I’m born and raised in the wondrous Pacific Northwest. I acknowledge that I occupy the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically Tulalip, Snohomish, Stillaguamish, and Sauk-Suiattle Tribes who live here and steward these lands and waters as they have done for many years. I am committed to lifting indigenous voices working from and anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens. I recognize the unearned privileges and advantages that are held within my identity as a white, cis-gendered male, able bodied and higher education therapist.
I earned my bachelor’s in psychology from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA (2017) and master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA (2022).
I identify as a queer integrative trauma-informed and mindfulness-based Associate Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approaches in therapy utilize skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Multicultural Theory, and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). Much of my foundation in this work was fostered in acute care and primary care. In therapy, my framework is primarily client-led and goal centered. My mission is to foster a space of growth and healing by being a calming presence in a non-judgmental space.
Areas outside my scope of practice: Court Evaluations, Parenting Evaluations, Expert Witness, Forensic Evaluations, Parenting or Custody Evaluations, and Sex Offender Work.
Outside of my professional life, you can find me out hiking, climbing, and paddle boarding across our wonderful state. I find inspiration in chasing sunsets and exploring new destinations, which helps me stay grounded and energized. These experiences enrich my approach to therapy allowing me to bring a holistic perspective to my work.
Services are currently provided from the comfort of your own space via telehealth.
I offer free 15-minute consultations to discuss questions you might have and evaluate if my practice aligns with your goals.
